A REAL Vintage Harmony Stella ! Played by more people prior to 1965 than any guitar in history.
The basic model sold from $10 in the 1950's to $18 in the 1960's ... ($100 / $180 in today's money). This one is the "$12" Stella as they were commonly known, when I was a young teenager. ( My first guitar, 1959, was a very nice little $14 Framus ... $140 in today's money ! ) No other guitar can duplicate the trapeze & floating bridge's raw,"boxy" Blues tone of these guitars. I really like moderately light gauge strings on these guitars for finger style Folk Blues. Or install heavier gauge and a nut riser, detune open E or G to D root and play slide on yor lap at the next crawdad bar-b-que.
PREVIOUS OWNER REPORTED: Vintage Harmony 6 string, Model #M6130 Stella acoustic guitar and it has a beautiful sound. It is a little smaller model and measures only 36" long and has a tailpiece. I believe this guitar is from the 50s or 60s and it is in good condition - neck is straight and no bows. It has a beautiful darker wood finish. It also comes with the case. |
