As Sam (Lightnin) Hopkins told me in a short impromptu lesson before a smokey bar gig (of his) 36 years ago, "You jus talk a little an' pick a little an' cat like that ...nothin to it."  He was sure right and dead-on about "cattin" ...but "nothin to it" has taken a mighty long and wonderful time.

These Blues Index pages have quite a bit of data, mostly in the form of pictures;  So it might load a bit slow on some older machines (like mine!).  I think any such patience will be rewarding.

The Artists FEATURED on the Blues Index page are Artists that have influenced me greatly the last 42 years.  It would be impossible to list them all, so the pages will just have to evolve.  And sure as hello, some guitar god associate from the past will stumble upon these pages and come a'callin to remind me what a sausage I am to forget to post him on the pages !

There are also links to other Blues websites on these pages.  These Blues  pages should provide a comprehensive resource for the Blues.

This page will surely have regular periods of destruction and similar means of evolution.

I will gladly post deserving information and site links sent to the webmaster.

"......and Mamma said, "Papa, ....let them childrun Boogie Woogie."
