Tuners cleaned up and reinstalled.  Compare with their condition before being taken apart, cleaned up and lubricated.
Here the Steel is assembled.  All that is left is to solder the female lead jack on, recharge the magnets, string and tuner her up and play the fool out of her to make sure all is good.

Notice how much better the fretboard looks having had it's checking sealed and top coated with several coats of clear enamel.
Here is the output lead ran through the female guitar chord jack.  The jack will be installed to leave a bit more cord than shown here, so that the jack and cord can be moved to where it fits the best in a guitar case.  I will also try to attach (strap) the jack to the rear of the electronics plate.  This will be a temporary jack until the guitar can be taken to a luthier wood shop (Koolau Ukes and Guitars) that can jig the guitar square under a drill press and and drill a long hole for the lead and a conventional end-pin jack to be installed;  There is not enough wood meat and room to drill for a conventional jack where the cord exits the guitar through a small tunnel hole.
