At this point in the simultaneous picture-taking of guitar and
case progress my camera went tits-up and no longer works.

This Rascal guitar was finished and vacuum packed moisture proof and securely
into it's case and the case vacuum packed moisture proof for secure shipping.
Neck screw refurbishing has dried and is sanded ready for installation with shim.
The shim is hand sanded to approximately .075" on it's thick end and paper thin on it's thin end.
An oblique view of the shim.  A simple block of wood near the back of the neck is usually what is used for shims, ....even gauged guitar picks placed there;  But I have found that good solid shim contact with the neck and pocket transmit the sound loop through the body and neck MUCH better.
The shim's excellent fit into the neck pocket.  The shim will compress slightly as the neck is tightened upon it.
The neck's screw holes doweling is painted black to help guard against any oils or moisture getting into the neck wood.
