Neck heel is doweled with a nest of flat toothpicks that will help new alignment piloting find their seating.

Neck was interemly installed to align and seat the neck mounting screws threads.

This bare spot obtrusively sticks up / out of neck in it's body pocket.  I will touch it up too.

Ahhh ....looks much better.

I felt a certain nick on this edge could use a touch up shown here too.  After this the edge is lightly re-aged with sandpaper to match the rest of the headstock edges.

A similar spot on other side of the headstock that has not been compounded yet after ageing:
