Notice the grime gone from the headstock face ....most noticeable in the absence of the grime that surrounded the truss rod cover, or comparing the headstock on the previous Page 13.

The cleaned neck took on a whole new refreshed character when the oils were applied to the finish (Ace Lub-E) and fingerboard (lemon oil).  -------  My camera ran out of memory space before I began the oilings of the neck.  ~~~~~~~  Those pictures will be taken and posted as soon as possible.

Notice the original red burst paint mist showing through where the player(s) almost entirely open chord playing has worn through the clear coat and black finish.  2 or three people might have learned to play on this guitar, as I can see 2 or possibly 3 different size finger wear patterns in this spot !  Somebody really like open G chord;  Probably because they sang mostly in the key of G or C.

Multiple careful scrubbings in sections whith 10-to-1 diluted solution of Water / Simple Green and rinse with ionized water is used to clean stubborn grime from guitars.  A worn out 3-M type SCRATCHLESS scrub pad is used to gently work the simple green in, with each application followed by a ionized water rinse in a sponge, wiped dry with paper towels.
