Next Page shows packing guitar similarly with diapers, or light towels, or soft rags etc.
This is the position of the case to insert the guitar.  Notice that the power chord is resting in it's compartment.
When the case is closed that compartment is also closed and secure.  Tubes are individually wrapped with bubble-wrap and small zip loc bags and then collectively put into a sandwich size zip loc.  This is a nice place to put the package in these amp-cases for shipping or long-term storage.  Always be sure to discharge the circuits of an amp before shipping;  And if you don't know how to do it, then have someone that does know do it;  AMP CIRCUITS HAVE DEADLY VOLTAGES even when they've been turned off for weeks.
Shown here is how to put folded paper towels (as a minimum) to softly stand-off the guitar's contact with the sides of the case where vintage Danelectros are notorious for picking us case rash.  Soft luggage felt can also be added to the sides of these cases if originality isn't an issue.  I'm Old School (don't ask ....but before Jesus played lead for The Disciples);  I use large diapers in my personal guitars cases, misted every now and then with innocuous Ace Hardware Lub-E oil and layed across the strings, and / or elsewhere if a guitar needs shoring up in it's case.  Pictures of my packing this guitar with diapers is shown on the next Page 11.
One last piece (6 paper towels folded together) is placed over the bridge and knobs to protect them and keep the guitar vertically snug.
If a guitar is to be packed away for awhile, misting paper towels or soft rags with Ace Lube-E is good for laying over metal parts, strings, etc. after wiping them down with a different soft rag misted with Lube-E and wiped off with yet another solt rag;  It greatly helps control condensation and corrosion.  (Never spray any kind of oil directly onto a guitar; Metal parts that need oiling should be done by the drop, ....and metal parts that need an anti-corrosion film can be wiped with rags misted with Lube-E or other oils KNOWN TO BE INNOCUOUS TO FINISHES, PLASTICS AND ANY OTHER MATERIAL A PARTICULAR GUITAR MIGHT HAVE.  Improper oil is bad bad bad for most guitar woods.
