NOTE:  Although many players like to keep stickers as some connection to an instrument's life / history / soul / etc. (I do too);  However, CAREFUL work with Goo-B-Gone will likely remove stickers from this case if desired.  IF DESIRED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW and I will send suggestions and precaustions for you to take in doing so.

Home-made handle is some cloth-like material wrapped over several wraps of wire between the handle cleats, then covered with black electrical tape.  I can make a better handle ... free of charge ... IF YOU DESIRE AND TELL ME TO.
The original handle was a type with a metal bar to which a plastic hand grip;  See pics at bottom of page
here.  They have been common to satchels and probably available at a local suitcase repair shop.  Other period correct leather handles should also be available at suitcase repair shops and often on ebay.  Here are ebay stores that usually have such handles (Be sure to measure the distance between mounting cleats):

I can seal these worn spots to stop their slow deterioration (see golden arrow below); ... free of charge ... IF YOU DESIRE AND TELL ME TO (Many people desire / like original wear;  Soul, character, life-history, etc.).
I WILL remove these blotches of some kind of polymere (appears to be drywall spackling), ....UNLESS YOU TELL ME NOT TO.

I will try to repair this worn spot if I can find some underfold in the case to take it from or otherwise happen to find the same kind of felt in old cases around the shop.  Otherwise the case can be taken to a sewing materials store and matched up with felt there, and not a difficult repair job FOR A REASONABLY TALENTED CRAFTSMAN.

All hardware is in very good period condition.  All leatherette cover and ends have about average wear.
