In removing the rear strap button / pin I discovered that the strap pin was broken off inside it's mounting hole and the end piece had been glued in. The broken end piece was removed, then the piece broken off inside was drilled so it could be collapsed for removal. The mounting hole was then cleaned out in preparation for an original strap pin taken from a donor Stratotone that someone cut up badly in a "pickup experiment". Tuning ferrules were also taken from the donor to replace mismatched ferrules on this guitar. The donor will be packed away and resurrected in the future as a non-original guitar. |
