Here is this sweatheart ready to be packed. I played her to the cosmos for about 2 hours; Melancholy blues for my Dad passing away today. ~~~~~~~ She is RIGHT; A wonderful joy.
Here she is wrapped in vapor phase corrosion inhibiting packing paper to protect her from the water proof plastic packing bag I will pack her in pulled up snug with a mild vaccum (never ever ever put a plastic in extended contact with a guitar's finish, as a number of plastics will interact with finishes and ruin them. After unpacking her, cut the VPCI paper into 12" x 12" squares and place them in a zip lock freezer bag, ...folded is OK. Then keep one square on top of her body area when she's in her case and save the rest in the zip lock bag. The square piece in her case will inhibit corrosion for up to a year of regularly opening her case ....but keep the case closed when the guitar is in or out of the case, which will make the VPCI paper last a lot longer. The VPCI paper will effectively last about 10 years in a zip lock freezer bag or other air-tight container. Place one of the squares in any container you want the paper to greatly inhibit corrosion, such as using it as shelf paper in a tool box. It inhibits corrosion on any metal.
Here's her water proof bag sucked up snug with a vacuum packing machine.
I made some foam padding batton pieces to glue into the bottom of this inner carton. Here the foam pieces are held firm against Franklin white glue that will hold them in place. The glue will cure overnight and packing resumed tommorrow.
