Each switch position sets different knobs for volume and tone control, but after you learn it it's a rather intuitional arrangement for such a sophisticated circuit / function design.  So the charts are based upon switch positions.  There is a Switch Index of icons on the next Switch Functions page;  And you can click on the icons of any switch combination to see the chart for that switch combination;  Or you can simply scroll down through the different switch positions and their knobs / pots functions.
THIS GUITAR HAS SOPHISTICATED TONE CONTROL FUNCTIONS;
Which "require" charting them out for the easiest most complete understanding
of the different volume and tone controls for different pickups switch positins.

The tone on this guitar is accentuated between pickups by the OFF switch positions putting a small amount of volume (elevated volume floor) on the pickups that are switched off; ....while the knobs that function as Tone rolloff (different knobs for different switch positions) do so by either rolling off the full volume range of a pickup OR only down to the elevated volume floor OR by rolling off the elevated volume floor;  AND by at the same time regulating signal through the filter capacitor like conventional guitar tone knobs.  The Master Volume knob always acts as a Volume control for all settings.

KNOBS / POTS LABEL ABBREVIATIONS USED ON THE CHARTS:

MV = Master Volume controls the volume of the selected pickups equally.

TV = Tone AND volume rolloff thru the filter capacitor, for the effected pickup shown on the corresponding chart.

TV = Tone rolloff through the filter capacitor AND rolloff of an elevated volume floor.

V = Volume rolloff, for the effected pickup as shown on the corresponding chart.

T = Tone rolloff, for the effected pickup as shown on the corresponding chart.

MT = Master Tone .....for all settings when it occurs in some switch positions.

X = No function at all.
