The 2 original styrofoam blocks were glued in at the factory with a small blob or two of heat gun glue.  They often came loose in shipping.  Evets (Danelectro) warehouse in California would put double sided foam tape behind these blocks when they discovered a guitar loose in it's carton.  There 2 foam blocks were still glued down but came right off with minimal testing pressure;  So I put the same double sided foam tape behind the blocks to fully secure them.
Guitar is returned to it's original foam bag.  Innocuous non-original additional packing is added to stabilize the guitar in shipment better than factory packing:
(1)  Newspaper wads will provide a nest on top of the guitar so the guitar cannot rise in it's inner carton.
(2)  The original desicant bag is cheap paper and after 7 years is subject to rupture and spilling abrasive silica gel balls into the case;  So I put the silca gel bag into a small zip lock bag and secured it in one of the foam bag's headstock cuff's rubber bands.
(3)  A small bag of raw rice was made and placed securely in the carton to act as a moisture desicant.
(4)  A nylong string was strung around the foam bag's headstock cuff as a backup for the 2 original 7 year old rubber bands.
(5)  An additional cardboard shim was added at tip of headstock to fill space that was a bit too loose for my comfort.

Here the guitar is packed into it's inner carton and a plastic bag vacuum formed around the carton to snug the carton seams up and protect it from any enroute moisture.  The bag is then strapped with tape to keep the lid and bottom snugly secure.
Packing into the outer carton will be posted here shortly after it's done.
